Korean model Daul Kim was an acquaintance of mine who hung herself in 2009. She kept a blog, which was like rudimentary-English-poetry. We were very similar in our sentimentality... so I needed to do something celebratory: I painted this the day after to be like a garden sanctuary from the suffocating press surrounding her suicide.

I have since covered it completely. In a sense, the garden has grown over.
